About

Living proof of plot twists, Elise Kuder discovered a love of writing fiction after the age of forty. She soon turned to her literary favorite — cozy, contemporary Middle Grade mysteries served with a dash of spooky, fantasy, and hidden secrets from the past. 👻

Elise has taken writing classes through VCFA, GrubStreet, Gotham Writers Workshop, Writer’s Digest, The Writing Barn, Creative Sphere Writers, and SCBWI.

When not writing, as a Fulbright fellow and Oberlin + Juilliard-trained violinist, Elise has performed around the world with the Apple Hill String Quartet in venues as diverse as a refugee camp outside Beirut, Lebanon, the residence of the American chargé d’affaires in Yangon, Myanmar, a music school 12,000 feet in the mountains of Cusco, Peru, and the Alhambra Ballroom in NYC with disco legends Patrick Adams, Black Ivory, and Donna McGhee. Elise lives in the woods of New Hampshire with her partner and menagerie of badly behaved cats.
